THE PROCESS
How Does it Work?
ABM’s product formulations provide three active processes for all-weather concrete and masonry substrate protection.

Hygrophobic
Hygroscopic and Hygrophilic crystals penetrate deep into pores and microscopic cracks to seek out moisture.
Under the influence of constant hydrostatic pressure, the crystallization process continues to fill-in gaps and block the migration of moisture. Upon contact, the crystals expand to trap the moisture and allow the evaporation process to start.
The Hygrophobic process creates a non-slip repellent layer that prevents moisture from penetrating into the substrate.
Common problems and results when moisture is allowed to penetrate through cracks in concrete slabs or foundations.
Concrete Cross-Section: Water and chemicals seep into concrete pores and capillaries causing cracks and corrosion.

APPLICATION FOR TESTING PURPOSE
Application of ABM's Concrete and Masonry Cleaner and sealer CM Onto Masonry Pavers
Since the application of the C/M cleaner and moisture repellant onto the test area three years ago, the product continues to protect the pavers while the surrounding untreated pavers degrade.
As a test ABM's CM was applied onto a test high traffic area of 20 year old high masonry pavers.
Three years later, the masonry pavers treated with ABM's CM repellant remain clean and unstained.
CLIENT APPLICATION
